Where we ship

US only at launch — all 50 states plus DC, US territories, and APO/FPO/DPO addresses. International delivery is on our list for later; we'd rather get the US flow right first.

Where we ship from

Huntington Beach, California (PO Box). All envelopes go out via USPS First-Class Mail.

When we ship

What's in the first envelope

Entry 1 of the series, addressed to your child by first name. Plus the matching specimen card and field mission. There is no separate welcome shipment.

Address changes

If a letter doesn't arrive

Email hello@discoverymailbox.com and we'll track it. If it's genuinely lost in the mail, we replace it at our cost. USPS First-Class Mail does not come with tracking by default, so please give the envelope a week past its expected arrival before asking for a replacement.

Returns

Because the product is printed and mailed, we do not accept returns of individual envelopes. If you are unhappy with the subscription, cancel through the billing portal and email hello@discoverymailbox.com — we'll refund the last unshipped month if requested within 30 days.

Gift subscriptions

A prepaid twelve-month gift ($149, non-renewing) with recipient-timed first delivery and a printed gift card launches closer to the 2026 holidays. In the meantime, the one-month trial ($9.99) works as a small gift, or subscribe yourself and email support if you need help coordinating something larger.
